She did it! Last weekend (April 12), Karol G officially became the first Latina to headline Coachella. But she didn’t do it alone. On the festival’s first weekend, she brought out Mexican-American pop star Becky G to join her milestone. And let’s just say her presence also stole the show. 

During the epic performance, the Colombian pop star sang hits like “OKI DOKI,” “Latina Foreva,” and “Un Gatito Le Llamó.” Towards the middle of her stellar performance, she gave tribute to Mexican culture by bringing out an all-woman mariachi. Backed by Los Angeles’ Mariachi Reyna de Los Angeles, she continued with an empowering live rendition of “Ese Hombre Es Malo” and “MAMIIII” with Becky G. Yup—Becky G joined Karol for the second time in the desert.
