How To Host the Perfect Coachella Watch Party

Coachella season is upon us. During the next two weekends (April 10 to 12 & April 17 to 19), thousands of local and international festival-goers will reunite in Indio, CA, to dance under the sun. They will be treated to three days of music, art, and fashion. But hey—it’s no time for FOMO. If you’re not going, you can always join the fun by hosting the perfect Coachella watch party from the comfort of your own home.

This year’s Coachella looks different from others. Part of that is because Colombian pop star Karol G is headlining on Sunday, making history as the first Latina to do so. With this in mind, we can envision attendees representing their Latin heritages—especially since Karol’s team is even curating a flea market to facilitate the cultural moment. Chills, right?

But Karol’s not the only empowering woman performing this year. Other A-list names include Sabrina Carpenter, KATSEYE, Addison Rae, PinkPantheress, and FKA Twigs. We love the fierce and diverse talent that is booked for the iconic two-weekend festival.

That’s why we have to go big this weekend—even if it’s at home. Here’s how you can host the perfect Coachella watch party from home. Reminder that Coachella livestreams each day via their official YouTube channels.

On-theme appetizers

Since Karol G is headlining this year, a good on-theme appetizer would be empanadas. Here’s how to make some.

Some people like to argue these are the best empanadas in the world…what do you think? #empandas #latinfood #cooking #colombianfood ♬ La Cumbia Sampuesana / El Ritmo De Colombia - En Vivo - La Riata Costeña

Why not make an espresso martini as a nod to Ms. Carpenter?
